Undated, but was part of a mailing by Gravely to a customer in 1950. Install internal gear rear spacer and clutch rods. Do not push with the drive nut. All oil, grease and dirt should frequently be wiped off the magneto, lead wires and spark plug insulators. This must be smooth and free of ridges.
This adjustment should realign the shifter arm to the correct position. Tighten the right side to 20 ft. General purpose chassis grease does not meet this application. Each camshaft gear will have one timing mark on it and the idle gear has three ring marks on it. Copyright © 1997-2018 Yesterday's Tractor Co. Tilt the tractor on its nose without spilling fluid from the battery.
Before disassembling the planetary, check the fit of the gears on the pins. If Wire Transfer is chosen, a Wire Transfer Transaction Summary page will provide payment and account information. The Wire Transfer must be completed within 5 days unless otherwise specified below. Rotate the body so the dowel pin is on the right side. Sorry, what you find here at any given time is all I have. Use the inner race of the operators side bearing to drive it. Directions are given from the operator's position; that is, as you would stand behind the tractor.
Be sure the dowel pin is in the slot of the arm. Use only genuine Gravely elements. As soon as the engine begins to slow down, stop and back the needle off until the engine picks up speed. Support the engine side of the drive nut not the sprocket hub so as not to move the drive nut in the hub when putting the bearing on. Be sure oil drain washer is in place when replacing the bolt.
On the other two arms assemble in this sequence, spider gear, race, bearing and snap ring. Take a close look at the steering wheel! Measure the end gap with a feeler gauge, with the ring removed from the piston and held in the cylinder bore. The poppet valve opens automatically when the engine starts and admits air to avoid over-choking or flooding of the engine. When replacing the coil on the coil core, slide it on then press in the two coil wedges, one on each end, until they are flush with the primary of the coil. Gasket Surfaces Check all surfaces to be sure that they are free of all gasket fragments and sealer materials.
Notice how the pointed corners of all the roller cams point in a clockwise direction and also, the half-round portion of each cam is next to the drive nut and the endless spring is in the notches of the cams. The original was in poor condition and was poorly organized, so I recreated it in a more usable format, with many additions contributed by the Gravely user community. Undated, but Gravely introduced the Steering Sulky in Gravely Bulletin 573, dated May 20, 1955, so this flyer probably dates from about that time. Torque bolts to 20 ft. Free wheeling tractor or tractor wheels won't turn Differential problems Replace parts as required Transmission seems to be loading engine, even to stall point with Hi-Lo engaged. Undated, but it accompanied Technical Bulletin 823, April 4, 1960.
The fuel for idle is supplied through the main jet to a well directly below the main discharge jet. This systems consists of a venturi, controlling the maximum volume of air admitted into the engine; the main jet, which regulates the flow of fuel from the float chamber to the main discharge jet; the well vent, which maintains uniform mixture ratio under changing suction and engine speeds; and a main discharge jet, which delivers the fuel into the air stream. This can be done best with a press; the hammer and punch method can be used. Oil Changes Change the oil after the initial eight hours of operation. This further stresses heat and drought punished grass, and it makes for a not-so-pretty lawn.
Secure locking plates to bolts. To increase or decrease distance between float body and machined surface use long-nosed pliers and bend lever close to float body. The following is Chips original text. Replace float assembly if loaded with gasoline, damaged or if float axle bearing is worn excessively. Align the oil hole of the flywheel as near as possible to the hole in the groove of crankpin.
