It was fun to read about professional life in a time where communication was limited to landlines and early email programs. I didn't connect particularly with any of the characters, nice enough story but missing a little spark to bring it alive. While each explore the others' city and workplace, a nefarious plot to cause one of them to be fired ensues. However, midway through the book, the pace picked up and the plot thickened even though it was rather predictable. Part of me will always hate any form of romantic story because it never happened to me and I envy those lucky girls in the story almost all of them are predictable: a perfect woman, a perfect man, a conflict, and in the end, those two that has been named in the back cover fall in so called love or bla bla bla you name it.
